South African youth permanently living in Johannesburg. Full-time undergraduate qualification of at least one year at an accredited South African institution. Selection on academic merit. Applicants arrange their own admission. Certified recent academic record, South African ID, Johannesburg residence evidence (water/lights or rates/taxes statement), and parents’ income/death documentation or relevant affidavit as specified. About this role
Bursary Circular 001/2026. Closing date: Friday, 30 October 2026. 200 bursaries for South African youth permanently resident in Johannesburg, for full-time undergraduate study at accredited South African tertiary institutions. Covers tuition, registration, prescribed books and/or study material up to R40,000 per academic year. Renewal depends on academic performance. Fields include commerce, engineering, health, finance, IT, law, humanities, built environment, GIS, logistics, marketing and other fields in the official circular. No postgraduate funding. Only online applications accepted via the City-authorised form.
